No Need To Worry

Before you even start to continue reading this blog, I want you to take a minute and think of every situation that has you worried; whether it be your finances, school, relationships, finding a job, etc.  As you have this worry in your mind, I want you to read this blog and let God speak directly to you about what you should do about it.

It’s amazing how many of us are knowledgeable in the word of God and everyday we claim that we trust God, yet when a circumstance comes to test our faith, the first thing we do is cry and complain that our lives are too complicated and that life isn’t fair.  How many times do we complain and cry about the current situation that we’re in instead of changing our posture in prayer, telling God in spite of what we see currently, we will trust Him no matter what?  It’s through these times where our faith truly gets tested.  Whenever life throws a curveball at me, I love to meditate on Matthew 6:30-34, especially in the message version.  It reads:

30-33 “If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.34 “Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.
It’s so comforting to know that God tells us not to worry about tomorrow because our steps are already ordered.  God already has everything taken care of.  We spend so much time worrying about how things are going to work out when God is simply telling us to RELAX.  I love that the scripture says that we need not to be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving! Our God is a provider! He will never leave us to fall on our face.  Please understand and believe that God will meet your every need!  Instead of worrying, let us pray about everything and allow His peace that surpasses all of our understanding to guard our hearts and minds as we live in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7).
So remember that situation I asked you to think of previously that has got you worrying?  I want you to take it and literally give it to God.  I want you to stop worrying about it and trying to “fix” it by your own strength.  Free yourself from worrying about it by praying to God and allowing him to handle it for you.  As you pray to God to free you from worrisome, God is working on your behalf behind the scenes.  Just as mentioned in Matthew 6, God will attend to you, take pride in you and do His best for you.
So cheer up, walk with your head held high knowing that your steps are ordered and that you’re taken care of! God has got you and your future is bright!  Stay encouraged!
